Associate Principal Scientist, Statistical Programming, Late-Stage Oncology (Hybrid)

About the role

This position leads statistical programming activities for multiple large and complex late‑stage drug and vaccine clinical development projects within the BARDS department. The incumbent is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering statistical analysis and reporting deliverables that support clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and post‑marketing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate analysis and report programming using global and therapeutic area standards while adhering to SOPs and good programming practices.
• Maintain and manage project plans, including resource forecasting.
• Coordinate a global programming team, including outsourced staff, to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality outputs.
• Participate in departmental strategic initiative teams.

Required profile

• BA/BS (or MS) in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Life Sciences, Engineering or related field with at least 7‑9 years of SAS programming experience in a clinical trial environment.
• Strong interpersonal, written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to lead large and complex projects, balance competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
