Associate Principal Scientist – Immunology Discovery

About the role

The Associate Principal Scientist will lead translational discovery activities in immunology, leveraging expertise in immune cell biology, human disease models, assay development, and data interpretation to build decision‑enabling packages.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute, analyze, and interpret translational experiments to validate therapeutic targets in immunology, inflammation, and autoimmunity.
• Develop disease‑relevant in vitro, ex vivo, co‑culture, and patient‑derived tissue models and integrate multi‑omics data to connect target biology with disease pathophysiology.
• Generate data packages to support target prioritization, candidate progression, biomarker hypotheses, and patient selection.
• Mentor junior scientists, promote scientific rigor, and represent the function on cross‑functional project teams.

Required profile

• PhD (or equivalent experience) with at least 5 years in immunology, cell biology, or translational science.
• Strong foundation in immune‑mediated disease biology and proven ability to design, troubleshoot, and interpret complex biological experiments.
• Experience collaborating across discovery biology, translational medicine, data science, pharmacology, clinical development, academia, and CRO partners.

Required skills

• Primary cell culture and immune‑cell assay development.
• Flow cytometry, cytokine profiling, imaging, multiplex tissue analysis, spatial biology, and transcriptomics.
• Integration of mechanistic, pharmacology, transcriptomic, spatial, and biomarker data.
