Associate Field Service Technician

About the role

ABB is hiring an Associate Field Service Technician in Cleveland, reporting to the Regional Service Manager. The technician delivers demand field service for Process Automation in the Energy Industries division, working in close cooperation with customers and other ABB teams. The work model is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Perform entry-level field service tasks, identify technical issues and carry out analysis remotely or on site.
• Prepare material lists and ensure parts and equipment are available and of appropriate quality.
• Complete work on a first-time-right basis, on time and to quality standards.
• Troubleshoot simple equipment failures and recommend ways to prevent them.

Required profile

• High school diploma or comparable military technical training.
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred; a strong combination of education, experience and accomplishments will also be considered.
• Willingness to maintain overnight travel of 80%.
