Associate Director, US Launch Excellence

About the role

The Associate Director, US Launch Excellence will be the strategic launch partner for MSD’s US Immunology pipeline, focusing on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) launches. Working at the intersection of strategy, planning and execution, you will translate brand and market strategy into coordinated launch readiness across multiple functional workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead integrated launch planning and readiness, creating adaptable launch plans with clear outcomes, milestones and ownership.
• Orchestrate core and extended launch workstreams, maintaining a view of the critical path and connecting functional plans.
• Develop transparent readiness assessments, dashboards and KPIs to surface gaps and support decision‑making.
• Identify and mitigate launch‑critical risks early, facilitate scenario planning and prioritization.
• Serve as a trusted launch‑excellence subject matter expert, facilitating meetings and aligning cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, General Management, Biotechnology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology consulting, commercial operations or launch planning.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into executable plans and influence without direct authority.
• Strong program and project management skills, managing multiple priorities, milestones and interdependencies.
