Associate Director of Admissions

About the role

The Associate Director of Admissions supports the Director of Admissions Enrollment Strategies by leading key components of first‑year and transfer enrollment processes. This senior position manages seasonal evaluators, oversees transfer application operations, and drives recruitment initiatives across assigned territories.

Key responsibilities

• Manage 75‑100 part‑time seasonal application evaluators, including recruitment, hiring, training, daily assignments, and performance feedback.
• Oversee transfer application review operations, update evaluation manuals, train staff, monitor queues, conduct quality control, and generate productivity reports.
• Serve as primary liaison with college partners, campus stakeholders, guidance counselors, and transfer advisors to support prospective students.
• Design and implement recruitment strategies for geographic territories, conduct travel, counseling, presentations, and maintain relationships with counselors and advisors.
• Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate direct reports, ensuring compliance with university policies and high customer‑service standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 4‑6 years of progressive experience in college admissions or higher‑education enrollment.
• Strong supervisory, interpersonal, and leadership abilities with a commitment to staff development.
• Proven experience in process improvement, project management, and high‑volume operations.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, emotional intelligence, and professional maturity.
