Associate Director, HPV Vaccines

About the role

The Marketing team at MSD is focused on bringing medicines and vaccines to customers worldwide, using digital listening, patient analytics, and advanced technology. This role will lead primary market research for the HPV vaccine franchise, providing strategic insights to global and US commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global and US market research plan for the HPV vaccine, framing business questions and designing research approaches.
• Lead primary market research projects, integrating secondary data, syndicated reports, and AI‑enabled methodologies such as synthetic respondents and digital personas.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and compliance requirements while delivering actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners including pricing, sales, promotion, marketing, and R&D to ensure insights inform decision‑making.
• Evaluate and adopt innovative research technologies, ensuring responsible and compliant use of AI and advanced analytics.

Required profile

• Minimum BA/BS (MBA/MS preferred); at least 10‑14 years of relevant experience with 3+ years in market research.
• Deep knowledge of the US healthcare environment and extensive experience with market research methodologies.
• Proven ability to think strategically, analyze data, and communicate insights to senior stakeholders.
• Experience in vaccines or multi‑product franchises is highly desirable.
