Associate – Direct Private Equity

About the role

Join BCI’s Private Equity Early Talent Program as an Associate in Direct Private Equity, based in New York City. You will work on the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening targets to due diligence, transaction execution, and portfolio monitoring, collaborating with senior professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct investment research, develop strategies, and evaluate potential opportunities.
• Prepare and present recommendations to the investment committee.
• Perform rigorous financial analysis, modeling, and valuation.
• Collaborate with external partners such as investment bankers, consultants, and lawyers during due diligence.
• Support deal execution and prepare investment committee materials.
• Monitor portfolio companies post‑investment and assist with value‑creation initiatives, including follow‑on M&A and financing.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree with strong academic achievement.
• 2–5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate development, or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑starter with strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Valid work authorization in the United States.
