Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Instructor

About the role

The College of Health Care Professions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Houston Northwest Campus as an Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Instructor. This full‑time position focuses on delivering high‑quality classroom, lab, and clinical instruction to future nurses, with a special emphasis on OB/GYN and women’s health specialties.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching for ADN students.
• Mentor and support students throughout their program, fostering critical thinking and patient safety.
• Maintain up‑to‑date clinical expertise in OB/GYN, labor & delivery, postpartum, and mother/baby care.
• Promote a positive, engaging learning environment and professional standards.

Required profile

• Current Texas RN license.
• Minimum six graduate nursing credit hours.
• Strong clinical background in OB/GYN, women’s health, labor & delivery, postpartum, or mother/baby care.
• Passion for teaching and student success.
• Master’s degree in Nursing preferred; other master’s degrees acceptable with a BSN.
