PK-2nd Grade Teacher (Continuous Opening)

About the role

BakerRipley Community Schools seeks a dedicated PK‑2nd Grade Teacher to join a continuous‑opening program. You will create an inclusive classroom environment, deliver curriculum aligned with Texas standards, and support every student in reaching their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for the assigned grade level.
• Provide a supportive, inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
• Assess student progress, interpret data, and adjust instructional methods accordingly.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and families to promote student success.
• Implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and other behavior‑management strategies.
• Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning atmosphere.
• Integrate technology and multimedia resources into daily instruction.
• Stay current on best practices and developments in education.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid Texas state teaching certification or license; ESL supplement preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
