Family Programs Supervisor

About the role

The Skirball Cultural Center is looking for a dynamic, self‑motivated Family Programs Supervisor to lead participatory arts and culture programs for children and families. This full‑time position reports to the Associate Director of Noah’s Ark and Family Programs and works across the Family Art Studio, Archaeology Dig, Amphitheater, and Bloom Garden.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement drop‑in experiences, workshops, performances, and day‑long festivals that align with the Skirball’s mission.
• Build program and staffing schedules, oversee daily operations of the Family Art Studio, Archaeology Dig, and Bloom Garden, and manage on‑call and part‑time educators.
• Research and coordinate teaching artists and performers, handle logistics, and ensure programs meet educational goals.
• Maintain budgets, track expenses, generate contracts, and support marketing with descriptive text and photos.
• Represent Family Programs at cross‑department meetings, professional conferences, and community events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and at least two years of experience in early childhood, museum, or performing arts education.
• Proven ability to design and deliver inspiring, participatory cultural programs for families.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a warm, welcoming manner and ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Strong interest in the Skirball’s mission and basic knowledge of Jewish cultural practices.
