Associate Dean of Nursing, Academic Affairs – Evening & Weekend Program

About the role

Chamberlain University’s Houston campus seeks an experienced nursing leader to serve as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for the Evening & Weekend BSN program. The role focuses on managing academic operations, faculty performance, and student success.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day academic operations and supervise assigned faculty.
• Partner with the Dean to execute strategic BSN program goals.
• Develop faculty performance standards and ensure curriculum delivery meets accreditation benchmarks.
• Analyze student success data to improve labs, simulations, and workshops.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain qualified faculty.
• Lead budget planning, resource allocation, and capital requests.
• Support clinical placement and serve as liaison to boards and community stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in nursing (Doctoral preferred) and unencumbered nursing licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of bachelor‑level nursing education experience.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience in nursing education.
• Experience in simulation or clinical experience development.
• Background in acute patient care (trauma, emergency, or med‑surg) preferred.
