Associate Business Development Director - Genomics

About the role

IQVIA is looking for an Associate Business Development Director for its Genomics business in Durham. The role secures and retains business through professional, consultative, proactive sales directed at decision-makers and decision influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors. Candidates must live in the same country or sales region as the job.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and pursue new business opportunities within assigned customer accounts
• Build enterprise relationships and cross-selling partnerships with other IQVIA organizations, and support demand creation and lead generation with inside sales and marketing
• Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers and develop deep knowledge of the customer organization
• Keep up with IQVIA's services and competitive activities, positioning and pricing, including award and non-award reasons
• Identify customer needs, propose solutions, coordinate proposals and prepare sales presentations with operations and functional managers
• Follow up on sales, drive completion of contractual documents and monitor customer satisfaction
• Establish and run a sales plan for each target account, record sales activities in the CRM system and prepare sales reports for Sales Management
• Act as liaison between customers and IQVIA's technical and operational groups

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business management
• 10 years of related experience, including 3 years in a relevant industry (CRO/pharmaceutical) and/or sales
• Proven track record with mid-level and high-level contacts, and a record of customer contacts at outsourcing, procurement and mid-management levels
• Excellent business and industry awareness, analytical skills and ability to work independently and in a team
• 30-40% travel required depending on location

The potential base pay range is $89,900 to $250,400 per year, depending on qualifications, location and schedule; incentives, bonuses and benefits may also apply.
