Associate Attorney (Family Law)

About the role

Rue Law Firm is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Associate Attorney to join our team in Covington, LA. You will work directly with clients on family law matters, providing legal advice, conducting research, and managing cases from inception to resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload, including family law disputes.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Advise clients on their rights and options, tailoring guidance to individual circumstances.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure timely filings.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor degree and admission to practice law in Louisiana.
• Member in good standing of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
• Experience or specialization in family law.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Litigation experience is a plus.
