Associate Application Support Engineer

About the role

Santander is seeking an Associate Application Support Engineer to join its hybrid team in Dallas (or other listed locations). The role focuses on supporting production and lower‑environment applications, handling incidents, and ensuring system stability.

Key responsibilities

• Support critical production applications, troubleshoot incidents, and perform daily maintenance.
• Monitor and address requests in the ASE ServiceNow queue for non‑production deployments and investigations.
• Collaborate with developers to meet non‑functional requirements such as availability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Investigate root causes of server‑infrastructure issues and provide technical oversight for infrastructure upgrades.
• Maintain documentation, deliver performance metrics, and drive continual service improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5‑9 years of experience supporting web‑based applications and understanding of SDLC methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, continuous‑improvement environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving, time‑management, and attention‑to‑detail.

Required skills

• Windows Server and Linux OS troubleshooting.
• PowerShell, C#, Automation scripting.
• Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, APIGee.
• Proficiency in TFS/Azure DevOps, load balancer configuration, and monitoring toolsets.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and incident/problem management processes.
