Associate Analyst, Returns

About the role

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is hiring an Associate Analyst, Returns for its Returns, Fraud and Abuse department, which safeguards customer trust and business integrity by managing returns efficiently and minimizing fraud losses. The role delivers insights on opportunities and performance across Digital Checkout and Returns experiences and implements actions on them, helping teams reduce overall returns, make returns more efficient and optimize the customer experience. The position is based at the Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.

Key responsibilities

• Support cross-functional teams and processes to drive execution against the Returns Roadmap of initiatives.
• Drive improvement in the Total Cost of Returns, including OpEx and opportunity loss metrics.
• Own the DRE write-off budget through policy enforcement and discovery and closure of new loss opportunities.
• Support the monthly Returns Committee, keeping leaders informed and helping them remove hurdles and make decisions.
• Work with third-party tools and personnel to build reports and insights that reduce and optimize returns.
• Work with product-facing teams (merchants, tech design, planners) to turn reporting and data insights into action.
• Act as subject matter expert on how new features and operational issues impact returns.
• Work with development squads to identify high-impact initiatives and ensure teams hit targets on time and on budget.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams on reverse logistics goals and with legal so terms and conditions stay aligned with returns changes and risks are mitigated.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or related experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in digital product, digital transformation, retail or a related field.
• History of collaborating with cross-functional teams, including technical, product and analytics teams.
• Track record of building business cases with sufficient ROI to move to implementation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate nuanced concepts to executive leadership.

Required skills

• Experience with dashboards such as Power BI, Snowflake or similar tools.
