About the role

The University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies seeks a full‑time Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical to join its primary‑care graduate programs. The position involves teaching, advising, and scholarly activities within a vibrant simulation hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver didactic, simulation, and clinical instruction to graduate primary‑care nursing students.
• Provide academic and clinical advising to support student progression.
• Participate in curriculum development, course coordination, and evaluation of learning experiences.
• Engage in scholarship, conduct research, and publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Contribute to community and academic service initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD, DNP, or other doctoral degree in Nursing, or a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) (required).
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary‑care specialty (Adult‑Gerontology Primary Care).
• Current active APRN and RN license, or eligibility for licensure in Florida.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in primary‑care clinical practice.
• Experience teaching or precepting graduate nursing students is preferred.
