Assistant/Associate Professor – Engineering Management & Program Coordinator

About the role

The College of Business, Engineering, and Technology at Texas A&M University‑Texarkana seeks a tenure‑track Assistant or Associate Professor in Engineering Management who will also serve as the program coordinator for a new Master of Science in Engineering Management.

Key responsibilities

• Teach graduate engineering management courses and selected interdisciplinary engineering courses.
• Develop and assess curriculum, conduct course assessments, and improve student learning outcomes.
• Advise students on academic and career matters and review admission applications.
• Coordinate the Engineering Management program, overseeing curriculum development and shaping program policies.
• Engage in research, scholarly publication, and participation in professional organizations.
• Serve on departmental, college, and university committees.
• Participate in outreach and student recruitment activities to promote the program.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Engineering Management or a related field such as Industrial or Systems Engineering.
• Evidence of a strong, active research record appropriate to the rank.
• Eligibility to work in the United States at the time of hire (no sponsorship).
• Commitment to teaching excellence, student success, and collaborative work within the engineering department.
• Experience in curriculum development and, preferably, program coordination and external funding acquisition.
