Assistant/Associate Professor – Clinical Relations Veterinarian

About the role

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore School of Veterinary Medicine seeks a full‑time, 12‑month faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to lead its Clinical Relations program. The role serves as the primary liaison between the university and external veterinary practices, specialty hospitals, industry partners, government agencies, and approved clinical training sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, expand, and maintain a diverse network of affiliated clinical training sites.
• Act as the main point of contact for clinical educators and external partners.
• Conduct site evaluations to ensure compliance with AVMA COE accreditation standards.
• Coordinate and maintain clinical affiliation agreements in collaboration with university administration.
• Align clinical rotations with curricular goals and competency‑based outcomes.

Required profile

• Veterinary degree (DVM or equivalent) with appropriate licensure.
• Experience in veterinary clinical education and partnership development.
• Knowledge of AVMA COE accreditation requirements.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
