Assistant Vice Chancellor for Advancement

About the role

The Texas A&M University System Offices are seeking an Assistant Vice Chancellor for Advancement to lead and support fundraising, donor relations, and stewardship initiatives across the system’s 12 universities and affiliated entities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist system members with fundraising campaigns and donor research.
• Develop and execute stewardship plans for donors.
• Serve as liaison between system members and the Office of the General Counsel on gift agreements.
• Advise on naming opportunities and related policies.
• Create system‑wide donor reports and analytics.
• Collaborate with the Chancellor and Executive Team on external funding from individuals, foundations, and agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four years of relevant advancement or fundraising experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and success in major gift development.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Strategic thinking, high integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Required skills

• Fundraising and donor stewardship expertise.
• Experience with donor research and reporting.
• Knowledge of gift agreement processes.
