Assistant Store Manager – Retail Leadership

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) supports the Store Manager in driving sales, coaching the team, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This hands‑on leader brings energy, ownership, and a customer‑first mindset to the store environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor, delivering energetic and solution‑focused customer interactions.
• Coach teammates on service, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
• Manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Maintain store organization, safety, loss‑prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Act as Manager on Duty when scheduled, providing clear direction and leadership.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of associates.

Required profile

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key‑holding role.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and coaching abilities.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.
