Assistant Store Manager – Nolita

About the role

Rothy’s is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for its Nolita location in New York City. You will partner closely with the Store Manager to drive a culture of service, sales, and operational excellence, leading the team on the sales floor and acting as Manager on Duty when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager on recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training a strong store team.
• Maintain high performance standards by training on SOPs, service expectations, selling skills, and product knowledge.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, coach team members, and ensure exceptional customer experiences.
• Support visual merchandising, store operations, and in‑store events that grow brand awareness.

Required profile

• 18 years or older with 2–4 years of retail experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets through personal performance and team leadership.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and use ladders or step stools throughout a shift.
• Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours/week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Strong coaching and talent development abilities.
• Familiarity with retail operational processes such as merchandising and shipment.
