Assistant Store Manager (Full-time)

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring the store meets its sales, merchandising, and customer service goals. This full‑time position is based on‑site at the Gun Barrel City location.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and establishing action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume full store responsibility in the Store Manager’s absence, including supervising staff and handling administrative duties.
• Participate in recruiting, training, and evaluating employees across all departments.
• Provide product knowledge and guidance to both employees and customers.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to maintain profitability.
• Direct staff to meet departmental standards and keep the Store Manager informed of inventory movement and customer trends.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service as outlined in the customer service manual.
• Promote and sell Hibbett I City Gear merchandise and services while upholding all company policies and internal controls.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of all product areas within the store.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage store operations in the manager’s absence.
• Awareness of inventory levels, sales data, and expense management.
• Commitment to following company policies, procedures, and visual standards.
