Assistant Store Leader, People & Experience

About the role

Everlane is looking for an Assistant Store Leader in its retail store team in Tysons. The role builds, develops and nurtures a team that reflects the Everlane ethos and delivers a best-in-class store experience. It works closely with the Store Leader and focuses on the customer journey, team development and hiring.

Key responsibilities

• Foster a space where team members are continuously developed and work together to meet company goals
• Assess key financial indicators to identify strengths and opportunities
• Make the most of the team and resources, holding self and others accountable
• Lead the in-store customer journey, give direction and feedback to the team, and run hospitality initiatives and the day-of run of show
• Cultivate talent by building internal and external networks with the local community and store team
• Lead hiring from sourcing and screening applications to interviewing and making offers
• Create schedules within the payroll budget and financial trends, and own in-store service initiatives and the styling program
• Follow up on customer feedback

Required profile

• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Proven track record of hiring, leading and developing store teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work closely with the rest of the store leadership team
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Physical readiness to lift, carry and move at least 40 pounds and to move around all areas of the store
