Assistant Residential Manager

About the role

The Assistant Residential Manager works alongside the Residential Manager to ensure a safe, supportive, and serene environment for residents in the Otsego Region. This role combines direct care, staff supervision, and program coordination to meet resident needs.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise Director Support Professionals in partnership with the Residential Manager.
• Coordinate daily resident planning through weekly meetings and trip coordination.
• Mentor new hires during their first six months.
• Ensure accurate completion of shift documentation and facilitate information transfer between shifts.
• Oversee active programming, daily planners, goals, services, and supports for each resident.
• Perform medication audits, MAR checks, prescription orders, and assist with medical appointments.
• Provide direct care, including medication administration, and be on‑call during work hours.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred; required for Golisano Program).
• At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Completion of Springbrook New Manager Orientation and Leadership Training Program.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and meet physical requirements (lift 50 lb independently).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive Springbrook vehicles.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $22–$24 based on experience and qualifications.
• $1,500 sign‑on bonus for new hires.
