Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a career‑minded Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator to support a growing construction project management team in Monroe, NC. The role involves handling documentation, billing, submittals and drawings to keep multiple projects moving forward smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist 2–3 Project Managers across several active construction projects.
• Review, process and track project submittals, quotes and related requirements.
• Prepare and maintain billing documentation, process lien waivers and support sales tax reporting.
• Enter, maintain, print and distribute project drawings while preserving accurate project records.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to meet administrative deadlines and project requirements.

Required profile

• 2–6 years of experience in project coordination or as an Assistant Project Manager.
• Construction industry experience preferred; electrical construction is a strong plus.
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail and ability to support multiple managers simultaneously.

Required skills

• Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Proven experience reviewing and processing project documentation, submittals and billing paperwork.
