Assistant Professor, Physician Assistant Studies

About the role

Chamberlain University is seeking a Physician Assistant - Assistant Professor to join its new Phoenix Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program. The role combines teaching in classroom, online and clinical settings with helping shape future healthcare leaders. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the College's philosophy and curriculum through classroom, online and clinical teaching
• Collaborate on didactic and clinical curriculum planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation
• Serve as a course coordinator or team instructor, managing autonomous and shared teaching responsibilities
• Provide feedback to students, support their advising and counseling needs and help with remediation
• Help manage databases and evaluate student performance, faculty evaluations and national exam results
• Take part in reviewing and revising the program's mission and academic policies and contribute to admissions
• Mentor students and faculty and act as a role model for professionalism and collaboration
• Engage in professional organizations to promote the PA profession and improve programs

Required profile

• Master's degree or higher
• Two years of full-time teaching experience or three years of clinical experience as a PA
• Experienced in teaching the assigned courses
• NCCPA-certified physician assistant (PA-C)
• Current regulatory and practice credentials where required by assignment
• Excellent communication skills, initiative and prudent judgment
• Ability to meet all compliance requirements set out in the Faculty Handbook and, for clinical assignments, the faculty compliance packet

What we offer

• Expected salary range of $110,000 to $128,000, adjusted for experience, location, licensure, market and budget factors
