Assistant Professor of Professional Practice – Medical Education

About the role

The University of Miami is launching a new Master of Science in Global Medical Sciences. We seek a highly motivated MD or PhD to join the program as an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice, supporting curriculum development and AI‑enhanced learning.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and support the development of three core courses, coordinating weekly faculty contributions and delivering lectures.
• Serve as liaison between the Program Director and faculty, ensuring content is pedagogically sound for online delivery.
• Identify and pilot AI tools for assessments, adaptive learning, and personalized course experiences.
• Assist with strategic planning, curriculum alignment, documentation, and progress tracking.

Required profile

• MD or PhD in clinical medicine, health sciences, or a related field.
• Proven experience in curriculum or program development within higher education or clinical training.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with AI applications in education is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, start‑up academic environment.
