Assistant Professor of Kinesiology (Tenure-Track)

About the role

The Texas A&M University‑Texarkana College of Nursing, Health and Human Services seeks an Assistant Professor of Kinesiology to join its growing faculty. The position begins Fall 2026 and involves teaching, curriculum development, and student advising within a 9‑month academic year.

Key responsibilities

• Teach three undergraduate courses each semester (up to nine semester credit hours) and optional summer courses.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate (and possibly graduate) students.
• Participate in program development, accreditation, and curriculum revision.
• Collaborate with the Dean, department chair, and community partners to enhance the Kinesiology program.
• Seek internal and external research funding and contribute to scholarly publications.
• Serve on faculty search committees and maintain professional affiliations.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (PhD or EdD) in Kinesiology, Exercise Science or a closely related field (ABD acceptable for Lecturer rank).
• Minimum two years of higher‑education teaching experience in Kinesiology or related subjects.
• Evidence of scholarly work, publications, and professional organization involvement.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Required skills
