Assistant Professor of Clinical - OBGYN, Labor and Delivery

About the role

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at the University of Miami seeks an Assistant Professor of Clinical to join the OB/GYN Generalist Division. The faculty member will serve as an attending physician, providing comprehensive obstetric care and supporting the education of medical trainees.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to obstetric patients as an inpatient attending on units at Jackson Holtz Women’s & Children’s Hospital and other affiliated hospitals.
• Participate in the clinical education of medical students, residents, and fellows in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans addressing biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors.
• Perform physical assessments, prescribe medications, and document patient information accurately.
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and quality‑assurance incidents according to department guidelines.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to university policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible OB/GYN physician with clinical experience in obstetrics.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
