Assistant Professor of Clinical OBGYN – Gynecologic Oncology

About the role

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences, Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Miami is seeking an Assistant Professor of Clinical. The faculty member will provide patient care, serve as an attending physician for gynecologic oncology cases, and contribute to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive high‑risk pregnancy and gynecologic oncology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Serve as an attending physician for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Miami Health Tower and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing biological, psychological, and sociocultural aspects of patient care.
• Perform physical assessments, prescribe medications, and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
• Gather and document patient information from records, interviews, and collaboration with caregivers and other health professionals.
• Participate in quality‑assurance activities, reporting incidents and ensuring compliance with departmental guidelines.
• Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and gynecologic oncology fellows.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to university policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Gynecologic Oncology subspecialty.
• Medical degree (MD or DO) with appropriate state licensure.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, education, and research.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
