About the role
The University of Miami School of Medicine seeks a non‑tenure‑earning Assistant Professor on the clinical educator track within the General Neurology Division. This full‑time faculty position focuses on delivering outpatient neurological care and advancing education and research.
Key responsibilities
- Provide outpatient clinical care for patients with general neurological disorders at Neurology satellite clinics.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise neurology residents and fellows, enhancing their clinical knowledge and research involvement.
- Prepare and present material at teaching conferences and departmental meetings.
- Collect and analyze data to support future clinical research grant applications.
- Offer coverage for new inpatient services as needed.
Required profile
- MD degree from an accredited university (or foreign equivalent).
- Neurology board certification strongly recommended; a General Neurology fellowship is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (face‑to‑face, telephone, written).
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively.
- Good organizational abilities.
