Assistant Professor of Clinical – Medical Oncology / Genitourinary

About the role

The University of Miami seeks an Assistant Professor on the Clinical/Educator track within the Division of Medical Oncology. The faculty member will provide patient care for genitourinary and other solid tumor malignancies while contributing to research and academic activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient clinic sessions and serve as an inpatient attending at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center or affiliated sites.
• Participate in departmental meetings, lectures, and teaching across University of Miami schools.
• Develop and lead clinical and translational research collaborations, write scientific papers, abstracts, and grant proposals.
• Design, initiate, and manage clinical trials focused on genitourinary cancers, acting as principal investigator when appropriate.
• Support the expansion of the center’s clinical trials portfolio.

Required profile

• Demonstrated excellence in patient care, research, and peer‑reviewed publications.
• National recognition or experience in clinical trial development and personalized medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and/or Oncology.
• Active or eligibility to obtain a Florida medical license.
