Assistant Professor – Finance

About the role

The Department of Finance at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park seeks two tenure‑track Assistant Professors. The role combines high‑impact scholarly research, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and service to the academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct top‑level research in finance and publish in leading journals.
• Teach undergraduate, MBA, MS, and PhD courses, integrating current research and practice.
• Participate in departmental service, including curriculum development and faculty committees.

Required profile

• PhD in Finance (or related field) completed or expected by Fall 2026.
