Assistant Nurse Manager – Telemetry

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) on the 5NE Telemetry unit supports clinical supervision and unit operations at Martin North Hospital. Working days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, the ANM balances administrative duties with hands‑on patient care, providing a pathway to senior leadership while delivering high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily clinical operations of the 25‑bed telemetry unit.
• Manage patient admissions, transfers, discharges and ensure continuity of care across shifts.
• Conduct staff scheduling, onboarding, education, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with providers, other departments, and support quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Assume full Nurse Manager responsibilities in their absence.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a BSN.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida.
• Minimum two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work in a fast‑paced telemetry environment.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• Proficiency in patient monitoring equipment and telemetry systems.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 lb regularly.
