About the role

The Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit (G91) is a high‑acuity, 34‑bed unit delivering specialized care for complex pulmonary patients. The Assistant Nurse Manager provides clinical supervision, supports the Nurse Manager, and helps develop a collaborative, teaching environment during night shifts.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate unit clinical operations, including patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Conduct clinical evaluations, address performance issues, and monitor attendance.
Interview, select, orient, and schedule caregivers to ensure adequate coverage.
Participate in quality‑improvement projects, research initiatives, and EEO/AAP compliance.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a BSN.
Current state RN licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for critical‑care areas.
Minimum two years of recent clinical nursing experience.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (if applicable).
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
