Assistant Nurse Manager - Night Shift (Variable)

About the role

AdventHealth in Littleton, Colorado is hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager for a full-time night shift position. The role covers venous access and infusion therapy, supervising nursing staff, leading quality improvement and mentoring new staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venous access procedures within the scope of RN licensure, assess patients' conditions and develop individualized care plans for venous access and infusion therapy.
• Administer and monitor infusion therapy treatments, adjusting care plans based on patient response.
• Monitor nursing staff performance, give feedback, run appraisals and implement improvement plans.
• Mentor and precept new staff, organize training programs and resolve staff conflicts through mediation.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and improving patient care and operational efficiency.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and the healthcare team, and ensure compliance with hospital policies.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required; additional licensure or certification may apply depending on unit or state.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years of charge nurse or relevant leadership experience preferred.
• 1+ years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.

Required skills

• Leadership, critical thinking and independent decision-making.
• Ability to manage the business of healthcare delivery on the unit, including financial practices and productivity management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and basic computer skills, including an electronic health record.
• Unit-specific competencies as outlined in the job description.
