About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager will provide clinical supervision and coordinate unit operations for the Neuro Transitional Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic's new state‑of‑the‑art facility. Working night shifts, the role ensures high‑quality patient care and steps in for the Nurse Manager when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit staff and other departments.
• Ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts and coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Review operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers and provide clinical evaluations of nursing staff.
• Handle performance counseling, corrective actions, and attendance monitoring.
• Prepare work schedules, supervise daily patient care delivery, and support quality‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a BSN.
• Current state RN licensure.
• Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
