Assistant Nurse Manager – Multiple Units

About the role

AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida is hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager for several night-shift units: OSED Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Labor and Delivery and Progressive Care Unit. The role covers nursing staff supervision, quality improvement, staff mentoring and patient care coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venous access procedures within the scope of RN licensure, assess patients' conditions and adjust care plans for infusion therapy
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and educate patients on venous access and infusion therapy
• Monitor nursing staff performance, give feedback, run appraisals and run improvement plans
• Mentor and precept new staff, resolve conflicts and foster professional growth
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and communicate with patients, families and the healthcare team
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accrediting and hospital policies

Required profile

• Associate's degree in Nursing (required)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Basic Life Support / CPR certification (required)
• 1+ years as a charge nurse or relevant leadership experience (preferred)
• Ability to lead a unit, manage its business and finances, and mentor staff
