Assistant Nurse Manager – Emergency Department

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager supports the Nurse Manager in overseeing clinical operations of the Emergency Department at Euclid Hospital. This night‑shift position provides an opportunity to gain leadership experience while delivering high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate unit clinical operations during night shifts.
• Provide direct patient care and ensure timely treatment.
• Facilitate communication among caregivers and other departments.
• Review major operational patient‑care issues with Nurse Managers.
• Conduct clinical evaluations, counsel staff, and manage performance actions.
• Interview, select, orient, and schedule new caregivers.
• Participate in quality‑improvement projects and research initiatives.
• Assume full Nurse Manager responsibilities in their absence.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a BSN.
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• Two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge and skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (upon hire or within one year).
