Assistant Director of Strategic Communication

About the role

The Louisiana State University at Eunice seeks a creative professional to lead university‑wide marketing and communications initiatives. This role will enhance LSUE’s brand and public image across multiple media platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing strategic marketing and branding plans, collaborating with faculty, staff and external partners.
• Create and edit digital and print content such as press releases, newsletters, news articles and social media posts.
• Plan and manage marketing campaigns, including athletic promotions and event outreach.
• Produce multimedia assets – video, audio, lighting – for digital advertising, recruitment and web distribution.
• Support public relations activities, manage the content management system and social media accounts.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a related field.
• Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed and lift up to 40 pounds.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Hands‑on experience with photography, videography, lighting and audio equipment.
