Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions

About the role

The Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions supports the Associate Vice President of Graduate Admissions in managing technical, administrative, and personnel operations for approximately 150 graduate programs at Georgetown University.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce Graduate Studies policies, train faculty and staff on admissions best practices, and advise prospective students.
• Coordinate release of admissions decisions with graduate programs and the Office of Merit Aid.
• Collaborate with University Offices such as Registrar, Financial Aid, Global Services, and Student Health.
• Supervise student staff and seasonal employees supporting recruitment, tours, and communications.
• Manage day‑to‑day workflow of credential evaluation, GPA calculation, and application organization for committee review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2‑3 years of experience in higher‑education admissions.
• Administrative experience with high technical competency.
• Expertise in foreign credential evaluation and international educational systems (language skills desired).

Required skills

• Experience with Slate admissions system (desired).
• Ability to evaluate domestic and international transcripts.
• Knowledge of foreign credential evaluation processes.
