About the role
KPMG is seeking an Assistant Counsel to join its Office of General Counsel, Litigation and Investigations Group. The role focuses on executing internal investigations, supporting team priorities, and contributing to consistent, high‑quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct internal investigations, including document review, data analysis, interviews, and report drafting.
- Manage discrete investigations or workstreams under senior supervision, ensuring accuracy and alignment with firm standards.
- Provide day‑to‑day support and informal guidance to junior team members.
- Assist in delivering training sessions on investigative practices and risk awareness.
- Draft clear investigative summaries, maintain case files, and identify process‑improvement opportunities.
- Support preparation for regulator or external party interactions as needed.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of recent experience in investigations, litigation, or related work in a law firm, corporate, or government setting.
- J.D. and/or LL.M. degree.
- Strong analytical and written communication skills.
