Assistant Community Manager – Core

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager – Core supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a stabilized residential community. This position handles daily accounting tasks, rent collection, invoice processing, and ensures accurate financial reporting using property management software.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite (Rent Cafe) to record transactions, maintain system integrity, and generate financial reports.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents on delinquencies, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, obtain approvals, code charges, and ensure timely payments.
• Prepare monthly close‑out reports and assist with budgeting and financial analysis.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of assistant community management experience.
• Proven experience with rent collections, delinquency management, and resident account reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing laws and landlord/tenant regulations (preferred).
• Experience with Yardi and Rent Cafe is mandatory.
