Assistant Buyer

About the role

The Assistant Buyer supports the Buying team in day‑to‑day activities, gaining exposure to all buying functions and their links with Production, Planning and Distribution. This entry‑level position offers a solid foundation in fashion merchandising and financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and analyze data to help develop seasonal strategies and financial targets.
• Attend pre‑season meetings with Buying and Planning, create and update assortment sheets, and communicate changes to business partners.
• Participate in line‑edit meetings, review sales performance, and identify sales trends.
• Support Open‑to‑Buy (OTB) and forecast discussions to understand key financial concepts.
• Visit stores to learn about the customer base, evaluate product execution, and gather feedback for management.
• Contribute to weekly cross‑functional meetings and collaborate with Buying, Planning, Inventory Control and Distribution teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 0‑2 years of relevant experience or a strong interest in fashion buying.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
