Assembly Supervisor

About the role

The Assembly Supervisor will lead daily assembly operations, ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and on‑time delivery. This hands‑on leadership position works closely with engineering, inventory, and materials teams while championing Lean manufacturing initiatives. Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule assembly activities, managing material flow, headcount, and temporary workforce.
• Implement Lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Maintain quality standards and safe operating procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Materials teams to resolve workflow issues and improve efficiency.
• Manage time & attendance records and develop performance of direct reports.
• Lead daily materials and production meetings; report order status and missed deadlines.
• Process returned goods (RMAs) and rework efficiently.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Promote continuous improvement through training, motivation, and employee engagement.
• Act as liaison between departments to ensure timely delivery of finished goods.
• Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, or 5–7 years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a high‑impact, fast‑paced setting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.

Required skills

• Lean Manufacturing methodologies (5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping).
• ERP systems experience, preferably SAP.
• Production Planning system expertise.
• Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Project management or planning background.
