Manufacturing QMS Consultant – Pharma/Life Sciences & Med Device Director

About the role

PwC is seeking a senior Manufacturing QMS Consultant to lead quality‑management system projects for clients in the pharmaceutical, life‑sciences and medical‑device sectors. The role combines strategic advisory with hands‑on implementation, helping organisations optimise product development and manufacturing processes while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client product development lifecycles and identify bottlenecks affecting speed‑to‑market, cost and quality.
• Design and implement QMS improvements, lean manufacturing practices and supply‑chain integration strategies.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, mentor junior consultants and drive thought‑leadership within PwC’s operations practice.
• Collaborate with clients to translate regulatory requirements into practical operational solutions.
• Promote the adoption of digital technologies that enhance manufacturing efficiency and data‑driven decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven consulting or advisory experience in life‑sciences, pharma or medical‑device industries.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex client engagements at a director or senior level.
• Strong understanding of quality‑management systems, lean principles and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on client satisfaction and team development.

Required skills

• Knowledge of QMS standards (e.g., ISO 13485, GMP).
• Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Familiarity with digital tools for process optimisation.
