Assembler II – Manufacturing Assembly

About the role

Moog’s Space and Defense Group in Salt Lake City is seeking an Assembler II to join its Manufacturing Assembly and Test team. You will work on a 9/80 schedule on First Shift, contributing to the production of high‑performance motion‑control systems for aerospace and defense applications.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot assembly line machinery and equipment.
• Install components, sub‑assemblies, and finished parts according to drawings and work instructions.
• Move, pack, and sort raw materials and finished goods.
• Monitor product quality, identify defects, and initiate re‑work or discard as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis.
• Cross‑train on multiple production lines to ensure flexibility.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in mechanical systems is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of electro‑mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organized work practices, and good housekeeping.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, BOMs, and test specifications.
• Experience with circuit cards and a solid understanding of ESD control.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
