Architectural Associate – High-End Residential & Commercial

About the role
Cutler Anderson Architects is seeking an Architectural Associate to support high‑end residential, commercial and multi‑family projects across the Pacific Northwest and nationally. This full‑time, on‑site position offers the chance to work on finely detailed buildings that respond to site and program conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop conceptual designs, building plans, and detailed construction documentation.
- Model projects and produce contract documents, including architectural details.
- Coordinate structural and MEP systems while maintaining design intent.
- Identify and incorporate design changes, assessing impact on budget and schedule.
- Collaborate with a small, multidisciplinary team to meet tight deadlines.
Required profile
- 2‑5 years post‑graduate experience in architectural practice.
- B.Arch or M.Arch from an NAAB‑accredited university.
- Strong technical knowledge of design, detailing, and construction documentation.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office.
- Hand‑drawing and advanced graphic abilities.
- Architectural detailing, structural coordination, and MEP coordination.
