About the role

AJA Architecture and Planning is seeking a full‑time Architect to join its Glens Falls studio. The position offers a blend of on‑site collaboration and occasional work‑from‑home days, allowing you to contribute to a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, hospitality and community projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and schematic studies that align with client vision and project context.
• Produce detailed construction drawings, specifications, and documentation for all project phases.
• Coordinate construction documents and support construction administration activities.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to ensure design quality and compliance.
• Stay informed of building codes, construction methods, and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
• Strong foundation in architectural construction drawing and specification production.
• Thorough knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and documentation standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a studio environment with minimal supervision.
