Construction Site Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Site Superintendent leads daily field operations for commercial and industrial projects in the Capital Region. Acting as the on‑site representative of the general contractor, this role ensures work progresses safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily field activities, monitor progress, and enforce safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, and provide resources needed for successful execution.
• Maintain a strong on‑site presence, resolve issues promptly, and keep projects aligned with milestones.
• Prepare and update short‑term (3–4 week) look‑ahead schedules.
• Facilitate on‑site meetings with subcontractors, project teams, and stakeholders.
• Document daily reports in Procore, covering work performed, manpower, safety observations, and any delays.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and promote a safety‑first culture.
• Collaborate with skilled trades such as carpentry and masonry to sequence work and address constructability challenges.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of skilled trades and subcontractor management.
• Hands‑on approach to problem solving and quality control.
• Consistent focus on safety, documentation, and clear communication.
• Ability to work early mornings or weekends when project demands require.
